Mountain Sunset: Wood & Metal mountainscape

This piece is inspired by the magical sunsets that highlight mountain ranges.

The mountain range is made up of 1/16" thick metal, painted in a matte black finish.
The background is made up of 1/2" strips, starting with the multi hued sunset which is painted on very old weathered white oak using a proprietary technique to achieve this natural faded look. The weathered grey strips above the sunset are 100% naturally colored reclaimed wood. The frame is made of poplar hardwood stained in a Black Ebonized finish. I then applied two coats of low VOC water based sealer to preserve the art piece.

This product is made to order and has a 4-6 week lead time before shipping. I send photos for your approval before I ship it out.

The one in the picture measures 72"Long x 20" High x 2" deep.

Each art piece is hand signed and dated in the back and I also make a custom made laser engraved wood name tag on the side of the piece.
