“Natural Transition: Shadow Line” is a paired composition exploring contrast, balance, and the quiet tension between light and shadow. These sculptural wall pieces are part of the Transition series, where tonal movement and material authenticity converge in a clean, architectural format.

Defined by a bold horizontal “shadow line,” each work captures a moment of visual stillness—where natural wood tones are interrupted by a deep, grounding band of black, creating a striking yet harmonious focal point.

Each artwork is constructed from a curated mix of reclaimed domestic and exotic hardwoods, selected for their natural color variation, grain, and character.

• Contrasted by ebonized black elements, including the central band and surrounding frame
• A refined interplay between organic warmth and bold minimalism

The natural sections are left unstained, allowing the inherent beauty of each species to define the gradient and rhythm of the composition.

Every wood segment is individually cut, placed, and assembled by hand in my studio, creating a precise yet organic arrangement.
